I know that’s what you’re probably thinking. Everyone and their pet dog (literally) seems to have a food blog and/or Instagram account these days with pretty pictures of their green smoothies and paleo protein pancakes that claim to be “clean” and “unrefined”. Well I’m afraid there will be none of that here (well there will be pretty pictures, I hope!)
As a new graduate dietitian with lots of spare time on my hands, I figured it was time to stop watching Netflix for days on end and actually put my energy and nutrition knowledge that has taken over 5 years to acquire to good use. Since moving to Brisbane I have also developed a new sense of creativity, a skill I never before considered myself to have, so we’ll see how it goes!
I have been thinking of starting a blog for a while now, but have always pushed the urge aside under the impression that what I have to say is probably meaningless in the vast abyss of “insta-famous” health and wellbeing “gurus”. However I’d like to think that tales of recent times are leading more and more people in search of information based on fact provided by a qualified professional and food inspiration based on real whole foods.
So that’s what I’m here to do, I want to spread the word that food is not the enemy and that eating healthy can be enjoyable without juicing everything in sight.
I want my blog to provide all you aspiring foodies out there with:
· Tips on how to eat healthy without giving up tasty foods
· How to be more organized in the kitchen
· Delicious homemade recipes
· Food and eatery reviews.
If there is anything you would particularly like me to post about, please let me know!
